Dick Bass

Dick Bass (known as Scooter) died February 1st 2006.  One of the all-time greats with the Los Angeles Rams, Dick will always be appreciated.

We were big fans of his in the 60's and while he played on some average teams, he was far from average - a great all-purpose back, who could do it all very well as accounted by his being a 3-time All Pro as a running back while also holding several return records for the Rams.

We were lucky enough to know him as a friend many years after his career.  He's remembered as an intelligent person who would surprise you with his jokes, wisdom and promotion oriented business acumen - and his love for cowboy hats.  We will never forget Dick Bass.
