VARIETY OF SPONSORS SUPPORTING CALIFORNIA DRAG TEAM
WHITTIER, CA - July 28, 2006 -“Variety is the spice
of life,” is the way an old saying goes and apparently Eagle II Motorsports
believes in that. The California
based drag racing team has put together a unique and diversified group of
sponsors to be part of “Nostalgia” style Top Fuel dragster racing program for
the next year.
Eagle II Motorsports will kick off their new marketing relationship with an
“Enter to Win” 90-day “Race Across America” luxury vacation contest. The
vacation will be provided by sponsor Trendwest and the contest presented
through Circle K stores located in California
beginning August 1, 2006.
Circle K stores, one of the nation’s most successful chains of convenience
stores, has signed on as a major sponsor of the Hier’s drag racing effort.
Circle K, headquartered in Corona
CA, has more than 2,100 stores
across the country and more than 4,000 International locations.
Trendwest Resorts, sharing sponsorship support of the Eagle II Motorsports
team, is the exclusive marketer of Worldmark the Club, one of the largest
vacation ownership companies and the pioneers of the concept of points-based
timeshare ownership. Trendwest Resorts headquarters is located in Redmond WA.
A third marketing
partner will be NAK Health Centers headquartered in Norwalk, CA.
The company that specializes in pain relief through Chiropractics and spinal
decompression is owned by Dan Kim, Doctor of Chiropractics.
“We have put together a
diverse group of sponsors,” said team president Ron Hier. “We are quite excited
about the contest and being able to bring together three businesses
representing such different segments of American businesses.
“What is even more
exciting is that we are including a charity as part of our marketing program
and will be making a generous donation to that charity.”
The Eagle II
Motorsports race-team will campaign a front engine “Nostalgia” style Top Fuel
dragster in the Goodguys Rod and Custom Association 's race and car show series
along with other national events.
Ron Hier, driver and
team co-owner with his son Daryle, will attend Frank Hawley’s Pomona, California
based Top Alcohol drag racing school to upgrade his National Hot Rod
Association Junior Fuel license to Nostalgia Top Fuel.
“This is an exciting
time for us,” said Hier. “The attendance and excitement of Nostalgia drag
racing has finally caught the attention of Corporate America and they can see
it being an important part of their marketing needs.”
